Dear Editor,
My name is Julianne Lin and I’m getting ready for fifth grade. I’m writing to you about animal testing. I personally think animal testing is horrendous and I’m going to prove that.
How would you like to be tested with products that can possibly kill you? I bet not. Anyway, we humans have a choice if we wanted to be tested on. Do you think animals have a choice? Besides, animals are already being killed for fur. Why should they be used as experiments for new products?
So what if there are people who want better product and medicines? All that the animals want are to be left in peace and they don’t get their wish. They don’t get our new products either. So what if we get sick and die? It’s natural. That’s how animals are living. We can live without cosmetics and other stuff. Don’t you people think we’re asking too much?
Though I understand that there are some benefits, it is still not fair. None of us want to be experimented on so why would animals? It may be true that animal testing is the fastest way to get updated products, but it doesn’t mean it is fair. Even if animals are overpopulated as it is now. It is not fair!
That is why I think it is wrong. I’m certain that I’m against it!
